INDIANAPOLIS -

Heavy rain is causing localized flooding across Central Indiana.

Rain totals in the last 24 hours have ranged from 1.5" to 3" of rain across the viewing area. Indianapolis received 2.14 inches over the last 24 hours.

Saturday set a daily rain record for Indianapolis with 1.28" of rain, surpassing the old record of 1.19" from 1930.

A flood watch is in effect until Sunday afternoon, and flood warnings will continue until the middle of the week for area rivers and streams.

Scattered showers will continue through Sunday morning.  Temperatures will drop into the low 30s by Sunday afternoon.  A wintry mix of freezing rain, sleet and snow is possible.  Less than one inch of snow accumulation is expected.  The main takeaway will be to watch for icy spots.

Street and lowland flooding continues to be likely, and river flooding will continue into next week. Minor river flooding is being forecast right now.

Noblesville flood warning

Flood warnings are in effect for the following rivers: Big Blue, Driftwood, East Fork White, Eel, Muscatatuck, Wabash, White.

A flood warning continues for the White River at Noblesville from Sunday evening to Tuesday. On Saturday morning, the White River stage was 11.8 feet; flood stage is 14 feet and minor flooding is in the forecast. The river is expected to rise above flood stage by late Sunday evening and will continue to rise over 15 feet by early Monday afternoon. It will fall below flood stage by early Tuesday.

At 16.0 feet, extensive flooding begins in Riverwood area. Agricultural flooding is in progress as well as flooding of both the Riverbend and White River campgrounds.
