INDIANAPOLIS -
Jim Voyles, a high-profile Indianapolis attorney, is now representing Richmond Hill murder and arson suspect Monserrate Shirley.
Voyles filed an official appearance in Marion Superior Court Thursday afternoon as Shirley's attorney.
The south side mother was arrested and charged with her boyfriend Mark Leonard in connection with the November 10th explosion that killed their next door neighbors and damaged more than 90 homes. Shirley had previously been represented by Randy Cable.
Court records show Cable has represented Mark Leonard on and off for more than a decade.
After the arrests in the case, Mark Leonard and his brother Bob Leonard, who are both charged in the case, told a judge they could not afford to pay for private representation. Each were assigned a public defender.
