A rooster caused quite a commotion on Monument Circle Thursday.
DPW workers taking out trash spotted the rooster hanging out in downtown Indianapolis. They took pictures and then tried to catch it.
That didn't work out so well. The rooster proved to be elusive and kept jumping away from them. It even got into the fountain at the Soldiers and Sailors Monument.
They called Animal Control officers who ventured onto the ice. Two of them. cornered the rooster and finally got him.
The rooster is enjoying newfound fame online. Someone has created a Twitter account in his name @indyrooster.
No word on where the rooster came from. If you're missing a rooster, call Animal Control.
