Of Monster And Men say writing a hit song is as easy as locking yourself in a cabin during a blizzard and cranking it out.
That's how they wrote "Mountain Sound." But, as drummer Arnar Rosenkranz Hilmarsson says, they also write 50 songs that aren't hits that way.
They recorded "Mountain Sound" in their native Iceland last winter. Singer Nanna Bryndis Hilmarsdottir says winter in Iceland definitely affects the mood of their music, and it's what they do because it's dark and cold and there's nothing else to do.
