IMPD identifies North Ruckle shooting victim

INDIANAPOLIS -

Metro Homicide investigators have identified a homicide victim who died early Monday morning.

Police say Charles Spurlock, 36, of Indianapolis, was found dead in an alley behind a home in the 1900 block of North Ruckle just before 6:00 am.

Police responded to reports of shots fired in the alley behind the residence and found Spurlock dead. Investigators say Spurlock was shot several times behind his home in what appears to be an ambush-style attack.

IMPD urges anyone with information o contact detectives at 317.327.3733.  Callers wishing to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 317.262.TIPS (8477).
