INDIANAPOLIS -
It's almost time to ring in 2013. Between the Christmas holiday and all the snow we've seen, you may have forgotten about the New Year's holiday.
The Children's Museum offers a fun option for the family today. The traditional Countdown to Noon is a great option for the kiddos who can't stay up to ring in 2013.
The celebration of the final day of 2012 includes activities, music, and two Water Clock countdowns that will allow families to experience the excitement of a countdown at a reasonable hour for the young ones.
The Children's Museum suggests you arrive by 11 a.m. for the countdown beginning at 11:55 a.m. But if you miss it, there's another countdown at 12:55 p.m. as well. Doors open at 10 a.m.
Admission is free if you have an annual pass. Otherwise, you will need to pay the daily adult admission of $17.50 and children's admission of $12.50.
Other family-friendly options today include the Indiana State Museum, open from 6 to 9 tonight. There will be band, and a ball drop at 8:00 p.m. for the younger crowd. The family New Year's Eve event at the Indiana State Museum cost $6 per member of $11 for non-members.
