The Clinton County Sheriff's Department arrested 30-year-old Joseph Stahl who was driving a pickup truck that was later connected to a fatal hit and run pedestrian accident.

Deputies were dispatched to the scene of a property damage accident just before 5 a.m. Sunday morning.

They arrived and found a female pedestrian had been struck and killed about two tenths of a mile south of the Frankfort city limits.

The vehicle, found later to be driven by Stahl,  that struck the pedestrian did not stop at the scene. The pickup was located in a ditch about one mile south of the scene.
