Body found in car likely that of missing Indiana teen

NEW ALBANY -

Southern Indiana authorities say a body found inside a wrecked car discovered in a ravine is likely that of a teenager who vanished in September.

Floyd County Coroner Leslie Knable tells The Courier-Journal of Louisville, Ky., she's awaiting dental records, but believes the body is that of 19-year-old Ethan Bennett.

Knable says the body was found in Bennett's parents' car, has clothing matching what the Sellersburg teen was last seen wearing and has his wallet and driver's license.

Clark County Sheriff Danny Rodden tells the News and Tribune officers spotted the car's wreckage Friday from a helicopter the department and Bennett's family had hired. The car was found hundreds of feet down a Floyd County ravine.

Rodden says Bennett's family says the teen liked to visit the scenic view.
