EDEN, Ind. -

A 19-year-old central Indiana man was killed when the car he was driving collided with an Indiana Department of Transportation dump truck.

State police say Logan Stafford of Fortville was driving on a county road in Hancock County, about 25 miles northeast of Indianapolis about 12:15 p.m. Thursday when the collision occurred at the intersection with State Road 9. State police say they were told by witnesses that Logan failed to stop at a stop sign and drove into the path of the dump truck.

Logan's vehicle was struck in the driver's door. He was pronounced dead at Hancock Regional Hospital.

The driver of the dump truck was not injured.
