INDIANAPOLIS -

The fight to bring a new brewpub and outdoor stage to the Monon Trail isn't over yet.

Spokesman for the Metropolitan Development Commission John Bartholomew says the hearing examiner voted against the development Thursday, but the commission of nine people has not voted yet.

This proposed development would be located at 53rd Street and the Monon Trail.

Bartholomew tells Eyewitness News the developers of the brewpub now have ten days to file an appeal. If they do, the fight will once again go before the Development Commission on January 2nd.

The proposed restaurant, brewpub and outdoor stage would hold up to 1,100 people.

The Meridian Kessler Association officially supports the project, but the people living close by say it is too big for the area.

Developers say they will limit the number of concerts and take measures to control the noise.
