The magazine quoted an interview White gave to Esquire in which White appears to criticize Lady Gaga for being "all artifice" and "all image with no meaning."
White says he didn't say anything about Lady Gaga or her music, but instead was talking about the drawbacks of image for the sake of image. He says, "If you're going to try to cause drama, at least get the quotes right."
He wishes peace to Lady Gaga and congratulates her for championing gay rights.
