Grammys return to Nashville for nominations show

Posted: Updated:
NASHVILLE -

The Grammys nomination show has been aired for the past five years. But for the first time, the show was in Nashville, Tennessee.

It's the first time since 1973 that the Grammys have been in Nashville, and the show gave a nod to both country music's past and future. Taylor Swift was recruited to co-host alongside LL Cool J. And there was a clip of Johnny Cash, who appeared on the '73 broadcast.

After that, The Band Perry and Dierks Bentley did "Jackson," the hit Cash did with his wife June Carter Cash.

The country theme continued through most of the night - with LL Cool J and Swift discussing cool things to do in Nashville and Hunter Hayes singing off the nominations for pop vocal album.
