The reason 3 Doors Down and Chris Daughtry are touring together is because they're using it as an excuse to hang out together.
Daughtry says he became friends with 3 Doors Down singer Brad Arnold when Daughtry was writing his first record. He says that day they said they should tour together, but that was six or seven years ago.
Daughtry says because of conflicting tour schedules, they figured the only way to see each other was to tour together. Arnold says the camaraderie between the two bands shows on stage.
The tour stops in Asbury Park, New Jersey, tonight.
