Inspiring sports figures sought for St. Vincent awards

INDIANAPOLIS -

St. Vincent Sports Performance is looking for nominations for the Spirit of Sport Awards.

The seventh annual awards presentation honors inspiring student-athletes, coaches, trainers and others in the sports field. The awards are based on the core value of St. Vincent Sports Performance - Service of the Poor, Reverence, Integrity, Wisdom,

Creativity and Dedication.

"The Spirit of Sport Awards are meant to honor the true essence of sport and celebrate those who inspire us," said Ralph Reiff, executive director, St.Vincent Sports Performance. "Our event has proven to be an important date on the sport calendar and we encourage everyone to get their nominations in early."

The awards presentation will be held June 11 at Clowes Hall on the Butler University campus. Nominations are due by April 1 and finalists will be announced in the spring.
