Consumer Reports publishes naughty-nice list

Posted: Updated:

As you do your holiday shopping this year, Consumer Reports has a list that could help you choose where to spend your money.

The annual Naughty And Nice list puts 10 companies in each category and is based on reviews from consumer reports staff and Facebook fans.

On the naughty side, CompUSA gets bad marks for so-called "freebies" automatically added to orders that customers must opt out of. These "free" offers expire, and then the customer is billed.

Forever 21 is dinged for having different policies for online and in-store returns.

Home Depot is among those considered "nice" for their offer to cart away old appliances free of charge.

Kohl's is praised for their "No Questions Asked - Hassle Free" return policy for all purchases-without any time limit.

See the list here.
