Milton Jennings has been suspended for Clemson's game against Purdue in the ACC/Big 10 challenge.
Brownell said the senior forward's suspension for Wednesday night's game was for a violation of team rules that he did not explain.
The Anderson Independent-Mail reported that Pickens County records show Jennings was arrested Wednesday for possession of one ounce or less of marijuana or 10 grams or less of hash.
Jennings is the Tigers' leading scorer, averaging 10.8 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.
It's Jennings' third suspension in 13 months. He was suspended for a game after an on-court altercation with Brownell during a Christmas tournament in Hawaii. He missed several games in February for what the school said was an "academic suspension.
