According to the Domestic Violence Resource Center (http://www.dvrc-or.org), 1 in 6 women are rape or attempted rape victims and 25% of all women experience domestic violence in their lifetimes. These women are friends, mothers, sisters, aunts and grandmothers who need a helping hand to get to the next level in their lives. As a result of domestic violence, substance abuse and illness, they feel isolated and judged and have the experience that they are the only ones in this situation; they feel that they are not worthy human beings.
However, for most of them, they seek for the chance to become a better human being, to be confident, successful and happy. There are still several attendee opportunities available at no cost. Shantel McBride, Co-Director of WOW Utah, is available at 801-502-5558 to answer attendee inquires for women in the community and other support organizations who assist these women.
Join Mrs. Guay, Mrs. McBride, the South Valley Sanctuary and dozens of men and women giving back to the women in our Utah community through this incredible opportunity. Come celebrating Women of Worth and help each attendee celebrate their second chance at a good, happy life. Each person, whether sponsor, attendee or volunteer, has a chance to be part of this wonderful program and make a difference that will change a life and help a woman of worth reach their potential.
