Posted: Updated:

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) - The Allen County Sheriff's Department is looking for another police dog.

The northeastern Indiana department says it's seeking a German shepherd between ages 1 and 3.

To become a K-9 officer, the dog must pass a physical and have a good temperament.

Candidates will be screened by a veterinarian and the department's dog trainer.

Anyone with a dog meeting the requirements should contact the Master Trainer Robert Compton in Fort Wayne at (260) 449-4597.
