One Direction: the second time around

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK -

Niall Horan of One Direction says the group had its share of second-album jitters as they prepared to release "Take Me Home."

He needn't have worried. The new project has sold more than a half million copies in its debut week. Nielsen SoundScan pegs the number at 540,000 - good enough to be the third-highest debut album this year.

Horan says the group thought the second album was a strong one - but he says they couldn't be sure "it was going to be taken well." But now that the sales number indicate it has, Niall says they are happy - and thankful.
