INDIANAPOLIS -

Fans can bid on pieces of Super Bowl XLVI when shower curtains, handbags, wallets and other items fashioned from signs and banners that hung over Indianapolis during the game go on sale Wednesday.

The Indianapolis Star reports that Indianapolis-based People for Urban Progress is hosting a live auction beginning at noon Wednesday on eBay. Proceeds will go to projects aimed at improving the quality of life in the city's urban neighborhoods.

The group also salvaged fence wrap and fabric mesh used by the NFL and the Indianapolis organizing committee, some of it decorated with NFL team logos. They're available at prices ranging from $40 to $120 at Indianapolis-area retailers Silver in the City, Homespun, Artifacts and Vardagen.
