Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly is reminding the third-ranked Fighting Irish not to get caught up in the moment of seniors playing for the last time at home and letting it affect how they perform against Wake Forest.
He's telling the Irish (10-0) to save the emotions until after the game against the Demon Deacons (5-5), saying the thing the seniors will remember most is whether or not they won.
The Irish are looking to go undefeated at home for the first time since 1998 and hope to keep alive their hopes for the school's first national championship since 1988. The Deacons need a win to become bowl eligible.
Wake Forest right tackle Colin Summers said seeing Pittsburgh and Boston College play the Irish tough gives the Deacons confidence.
