Homes evacuated after gas line struck in Noblesville

NOBLESVILLE -

Five homes in Noblesville were evacuated Wednesday afternoon when a construction worker struck an outside gas line.

It happened in the 15000 block of Harmon Place in the Cumberland Pointe Housing Addition.

The gas company is on the scene. As a precaution, the fire department evacuated five residences close to the lot site.

As of 1:40 pm, the gas leak had been stopped.
