The public voting phase took place on Facebook to select ten finalists, followed by three guest judges choosing the winner. Websites were judged on their quality and range of content, use of calls to action, and overall look and feel. The guest judges included Kaihan Krippendorff, a business strategist, author of four business strategy books, and expert blogger with Fast Company; Joel Hughes, Senior Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development at Constant Contact; and Ann Handley, author and Chief Content Officer at MarketingProfs.
