ATLANTA -
T.I. says he isn't much of a basketball player - or a broadcaster, for that matter. But he did get to do a little broadcasting during a basketball game played by his hometown team.
He was behind the mic for SportsSouth for the first half of Friday's game in Atlanta, where the Hawks lost to the NBA champion Miami Heat. T.I. says doing the broadcast was "a phenomenal opportunity" and that he really enjoyed himself.
The rapper says he hopes to come back and to do an entire game someday. He said he didn't do much during the broadcast - saying he "just chimed in" here and there. As for his own hoops skills, T.I. says he has basically "done a lot of watching" and that he is "a a professional spectator," adding: "I can observe like no one's business."
