Ray Price battling pancreatic cancer

Posted: Updated:

Country Hall of Famer, Ray Price, says he has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and has undergone chemotherapy to treat it.

He confirmed his diagnosis to the San Antonio Express-News which reports that the cancer was discovered when Price had gall bladder surgery. The doctor told him that most men will have cancer if they live to be old enough.

Price says he doesn't know why he got it. The 86-year-old-singer says he "ain't old."

Price has canceled touring, but he's planning to visit Nashville in November to begin recording a new album.
