Civil Wars cancel tour over "differences"

Posted: Updated:
NASHVILLE -

The Civil Wars have canceled their upcoming tour dates because of what they're calling "irreconcilable differences."

Joy Williams and John Paul White say in a statement that because of "internal discord and irreconcilable differences of ambition" they won't be able to continue touring at this time. However, they add that their "sincere hope is to have new music" for fans next year.

Williams and White are both married to other people. Williams had a baby this summer with her husband, who is also the duo's manager.
