A Kokomo woman was arrested Tuesday for neglect of a dependent.
Police responding to a tip found a three-year-old and two-month-old child left alone in an apartment in the 800 block of East Hoffer Street. The children were in separate bedrooms, with the door to the room where the older child was located tied shut with an extension cord.
Investigators found the children's mother, 32-year-old Linda J. Williams at a local business. She was arrested for two felony counts of neglect of a dependent. She was taken to the Howard County Jail.
The children are in the care of Child Protection Services.
