Indianapolis Colts coach Chuck Pagano watched Sunday's game against Miami from the coaches' box at Lucas Oil Stadium.
It was the first time he was back inside Indy's home stadium since being diagnosed with leukemia. He was not available for comment.
Pagano was hospitalized from Sept. 26 until Oct. 21, when doctors released him to return home. He showed up for a staff meeting Monday before interim coach Bruce Arians sent him home. Team owner Jim Irsay indicated on Twitter earlier this week that it was possible Pagano would be cleared to attend the game.
Pagano stayed in a controlled environment during the game so he could avoid the risk of infection.
The 52-year-old coach is scheduled to begin a second round of chemotherapy this week.
