George Hill scored 18 points, including the first four in the second overtime, to lead Indiana past Sacramento 106-98 in double overtime Saturday night.
It was a remarkable defensive performance for the Pacers (2-1).
Sacramento managed only three baskets in the final 10:45, and the Kings (0-3) never led over the final 35½ minutes. Marcus Thornton scored 26 points and DeMarcus Cousins had 21 points and 13 rebounds for Sacramento.
Hill got help from David West, who had 18 points and 18 rebounds, and Paul George, who had 16 points and 17 rebounds.
It sure wasn't easy.
After trailing by 14 at halftime, Sacramento forced overtime with Thornton's 3-pointer with 48.6 seconds left in regulation. He did it again in overtime, hitting another tying 3 with 26.4 seconds left.
