It was a night of cheers - and tears - for Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert. The husband and wife team produced one of the most emotional moments on the Country Music Association Awards when they accepted the award for song of the year.
They won for "Over You," a song they wrote about Shelton's late older brother Richie. As Lambert wept by his side on stage, Shelton recalled that his dad had always urged him to write a song about his brother.
His dad died in January - and Shelton noted that "even after he's gone, he's still right." Shelton says the only thing that held him back was having the right person to write the song with - and he had that in Lambert.
An emotional Lambert thanked her husband for the privilege of doing the song with him.
