One injured in Indianapolis police chase

INDIANAPOLIS -

One person was seriously injured in a chase involving Indianapolis Metro Police.

The pursuit ended at Annette and Eugene Streets on the near northwest side near 30th and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

The driver of the Ford Explorer was fleeing officers and crashed into a tree. That tree is now on its side in a front yard.

This story will be updated to include why police were pursuing the driver. The driver's condition is unknown.
