INDIANAPOLIS -

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will conduct a Job Fair on Thursday, Nov. 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its Indianapolis Subdistrict office located at 7105 Brookville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46239.

INDOT is seeking seasonal highway maintenance technicians this winter to supplement existing operations employees. Seasonal employees will operate snow plow trucks in addition to regular winter highway maintenance activities. Employment for the seasonal positions is limited to 180 days. Seasonal employment could potentially lead to a full-time position, but full-time employment is not guaranteed by a seasonal position. Starting pay is $15 per hour.

Applicant Requirements:

· Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

· Must have a Class A or B Commercial Drivers License

· Must pass a background check

· Must pass a drug test

The Job Fair will be conducted in an open house format, and interested candidates must bring their résumé. Some interviews may be conducted during the job fair. Interviews will be conducted on site with any qualified candidate present at the job fair. Candidates are encouraged to complete an online application in advance at the Indiana State Personnel Department Job Bank under position #10065624.
