Danny GrangerDanny Granger, playing in his first preseason game after being out sidelined by a sore left knee, scored nine points to help the Indiana Pacers beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 100-82 on Tuesday night.
Granger, who missed five games, made 4 of 7 shots from the field, including a 3-pointer. He added three rebounds in 13 minutes of action.
David West led Indiana with 15 points, and Paul George added 14.
Kyrie Irving, showing no effects from being elbowed near his right eye by teammate C.J. Miles in practice on Monday, scored 20 points in 33 minutes to pace Cleveland. Alonzo Gee scored 18.
Cleveland will open the regular season against Washington on Oct. 30. Indiana will play its final preseason game against Chicago on Friday.
