A man is in critical condition after a crash on Crawfordsville Road west of I-465 Tuesday morning.

Wayne Township crews were called to the scene around 11:00 am. Three vehicles were involved in the crash and three people were taken to Methodist Hospital.

Witnesses told police that a blue Ford Taurus was traveling at a high rate of speed westbound on Crawfordsville when the driver lost control and struck two other vehicles.

According to police, the male driver of the Taurus was unconscious at the scene but breathing. Crews began treating him immediately. A second male passenger climbed from the car on his own. He was transported to Methodist in stable condition.

A second vehicle involved in the crash was occupied by two adults and two young children. One adult from that car was taken to the hospital to be checked out. The second adult and both children received medical checkouts at the scene.

A third vehicle involved had one male occupant. He had no complaints and refused treatment.
