INDIANAPOLIS -

Indiana Fever guard Jeanette Pohlen will miss the remainder of the WNBA Finals after sustaining a torn anterior cruciate ligament in her left knee during Game 2 of the series in Minneapolis. Pohlen is scheduled for surgery by Fever team doctor Dr. Stephen Kollias in the coming weeks.

Pohlen, who led the WNBA in 3-point field goal percentage as a rookie and was 5-of-5 from 3-point range in this year's playoffs, sustained the injury of the second quarter last Wednesday at Target Center. She averaged 4.4 points during her second season in 2012. She was fourth on the Fever team with 32 3-pointers.

She is expected to return for the 2013 WNBA season.

The Fever, meanwhile, dispatched the Minnesota Lynx with a 76-59 win in Game 3 of the Finals on Friday, to take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five-game series. Indiana hosts Game 4 on Sunday evening (8:00 p.m., ESPN2, 1070 The Fan) with hopes of capturing its first WNBA crown. It would be the city's first professional basketball championship since the 1973 Indiana Pacers in the ABA.
