DANVILLE -

Fire crews from at least seven departments have responded to a fully-involved garage fire attached to a house on US 36 west of Danville.

The fire was called in at approximately 4:50 a.m. at the house in the 2900 block of US 36, approximately two miles west of Danville at the intersection of County Road 200 West.

Crews from Danville, Avon, Plainfield, Mill Creek, Stilesville, Coatesville and Boone County are all trucking water to the scene, and they gained control of the blaze shortly after 5:30 a.m.

Due to the large number of apparatus at the scene - 18 vehicles, according to Hendricks County dispatchers - traffic on US 36 is blocked.

The house is believed to be vacant.
