School bus involved in crash on Georgetown Road

INDIANAPOLIS -

Six people were taken to the hospital after a crash involving a school bus on the northwest side of Indianapolis.

Police say a car and the bus crashed around 6 p.m. Wednesday near 47th and Georgetown. The driver of the car is being treated for unspecified injuries at St. Vincent Hospital. Police say the female driver was bleeding, but her injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

All five occupants of the bus, the driver and four students, were also taken to St. Vincent Hospital as a precaution.

The crash remains under investigation.
