One week the Colts look competitive and tough. The next they look raw and inexperienced.
What they really need is consistency.
If the Colts (2-3) beat Cleveland on Sunday, they'll be back to .500 and surpass last season's victory total with 10 games to play.
There have been glaring problems on the road, dramatic changes from half to half and even series to series. Veterans say it's all about confidence. Interim coach Bruce Arians thinks it has more to do with an injury-depleted roster that has forced the Colts to make changes on almost a daily basis.
There may be good news this week. Arians says outside linebacker Robert Mathis may play to this week - earlier than anyone anticipated.
