Indiana's getting closer.
After near misses the past three weeks against Big Ten teams, the Hoosiers (2-4, 0-3) will play at Navy on Saturday.
Three weeks ago, Indiana trailed Northwestern 27-0 in the second half, then rallied to cut its deficit to eight points before losing 44-29. The next week, the Hoosiers led Michigan State 17-0 in the second quarter and 27-17 at the end of the third before losing 31-27.
Last week, the Hoosiers (2-4) trailed No. 7 Ohio State big before scoring two late touchdowns and losing 52-49.
Indiana coach Kevin Wilson says he wants the Hoosiers to guard against listening to fans who congratulate them for being competitive. He said the team should feel good about its progress, but wins and losses are the bottom line.
