Planned Parenthood moving from Castleton to Fishers

INDIANAPOLIS -

Planned Parenthood of Indiana is moving its health center in Castleton to the Town of Fishers.

The current health center is at 8121 Center Run Dr. on the northeast side of Indianapolis. That center will close its doors on October 17. The Fishers location at 8937 Technology Dr. will welcome patients for the first time on October 19. The phone number and hours will not change.

The move, prompted by Fishers' growing population, marks Planned Parenthood's first center in Hamilton County. It's also easier access from I-69 and the 116th St. exit.

"Moving to Fishers makes sense because the community's population is booming, and we want our non-profit to provide our high-quality, preventive care where it is needed most," said Betty Cockrum, PPIN's president and CEO.

The Fishers center will have the same services offered in the Castleton branch, including annual exams, contraception, Pap tests, breast exams, STD tests and treatment, testicular exams, HIV tests, cholesterol tests glucose tests, HPV vaccinations, pregnancy tests, adoption referrals and education services.

Beginning October 19, hours for the PPIN health center in Fishers will be:

Monday - 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Tuesday - 10:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday - 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Thursday - 10:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Friday - 9:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Saturday - 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

To schedule an appointment at the new Fishers health center, please call the center directly at 317-849-9304, or dial PPIN's general information line, 1-800-230-PLAN.
