Britney Spears' manager during her darkest days will face off with her parents in court this week.
Sam Lutfi claims Spears' mother defamed him in her 2008 book, "Through The Storm." Lynne Spears had written Lutfi drugged her daughter and was a "general" for the paparazzi. Lutfi also says he deserves a cut of Spears' profits because he helped with her 2007 "Blackout" album.
It was around that time that Spears acted bizarrely and was put into a court-ordered conservatorship run by her father.
Spears is unlikely to testify, although a judge says she will consider it if necessary.
Jury selection is underway and opening statements are expected later this week.
