Second death from fungal meningitis in Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS -

The Indiana State Department of Health has confirmed a second death in the state that is linked to tainted steroid injections.

The death announced Saturday is an Indiana resident but no location of where the victim is from is available at this time. The first victim that died after getting a shot in Indiana was 89-year-old Pauline Burema of Cassopolis, Michigan.

There are now 27 cases of fungal meningitis in the state.
