SIESTA KEY, FLORIDA -

A teenager from Columbus, Indiana, was found dead in a Florida pool Friday morning. Garrett Mabrey, 17, was vacationing with his parents in Siesta Key.

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is investigating his death as a suspected drowning. Mabrey was found in a condominium pool early Friday morning.

Deputies were called to the Crystal Sands Condominiums at 3:25 a.m., by a resident who found the victim at the bottom of the pool. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mabrey was last seen just before midnight by his family who was staying there while on vacation. Detectives suspect the teen's death was accidental but an autopsy will be performed to confirm the cause of death.
