Indiana meningitis cases grow to 15

INDIANAPOLIS -

The Indiana State Department of Health now confirms 15 cases of fungal meningitis in this state. That's up from the dozen we knew about Tuesday.

So far there have been no deaths in Indiana. But nationwide, 12 people have died during the outbreak linked to contaminated steroid shots coming from a pharmacy in Massachusetts.

The latest victim comes from Florida. That's the first death in that state.

Right now there are 137 confirmed cases of fungal meningitis across the country. As many as 13,000 people were given the shots in question.
