INDIANAPOLIS -

Prosecutors have decided not to file criminal charges against an Indianapolis liquor store clerk who shot and killed a would-be robber.

The Marion County prosecutor's office determined that Zach Rogers acted in self-defense on Sept. 30 when he shot 47-year-old Donald Crenshaw of Indianapolis at a 21st Amendment Liquor Store on the city's south side.

Prosecutor's spokeswoman Brienne Delaney says that decision was made after reviewing video surveillance recordings from the store and talking with police investigators.

The shooting happened during the third day on the job for Rogers, who says it was the he was able to find since returning in January from his second tour of duty in Iraq.
