West side house burns for second time in two weeks

INDIANAPOLIS -

Fire crews are investigating another suspicious fire at a house in the 1800 block of Centennial on the west side Thursday morning.  Firefighters told Eyewitness News that the house was vacant after a fire two weeks ago.

That fire was deemed suspicious when arson investigators found accelerants on the scene. The residents had been evicted before the first fire, according to IFD authorities at the house.

Thursday's fire was called in shortly before 4:30 a.m.  Fire crews found nobody in the single-story house, and the fire was under control within thirty minutes.

Arson investigators will return to the scene to help determine a cause.
