Man questioned for east Indianapolis shooting

INDIANAPOLIS -

Police have questioned a 63-year-old man in the shooting death of another man Wednesday night.

Officers responded to the reported shooting around 9:40 p.m. Wednesday in the 3700 block of North Brentwood Avenue. When they arrived, they found a 51-year-old man unresponsive and suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. EMS crews pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Police took the 63-year-old man into custody and are questioning him for the shooting. He told officers at the scene that he shot the victim during a disturbance. Police have not made an arrest at this time and are still investigating the shooting.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
