MICHIGAN CITY -

A two-vehicle crash has killed an Indiana Toll Road maintenance worker and a Michigan man.

Indiana State Police says a speeding SUV driven by 78-year-old Paul Kimbrugh of Coldwater, Mich., crashed Tuesday morning into 52-year-old Toll Road worker Daniel Miller of LaPorte and a maintenance pickup parked on a shoulder of the Toll Road.

Police say Miller died at the scene, and Kimbrugh died at a South Bend hospital.

Police say the crash also left 49-year-old Toll Road worker Kevin Standefer of LaPorte hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash occurred near the highway's 40-mile marker near Michigan City. Police say the pickup had warning lights and a warning arrow board activated, and signs behind the truck warned approaching motorists of work ahead.
