The Indianapolis Colts are asking fans to trade their blue for pink at this weekend's game.
The Colts play the Green Bay Packers at Lucas Oil Stadium at 1 p.m. Sunday and are asking fans to wear pink to the game for breast cancer awareness. The team will honor 125 breast cancer survivors at the game and will sell limited edition pink Colts t-shirts to raise money for breast cancer research.
The team says there have been calls by fans to "orange out" the stadium as a sign of support for Colts head coach Chuck Pagano, who was recently diagnosed with leukemia. Team officials are planning ways to raise funds and awareness for the fight against leukemia at a game in the near future.
"With Coach's diagnosis, the word 'cancer' took on a whole new meaning for our organization and our fan base," the team wrote in a media release Tuesday.
The team will also host a Pinking of the Canal at 11:30 a.m. Friday (October 5). The event will last until 1 p.m. at the canal in downtown Indianapolis.
