INDIANAPOLIS -

Celebrations for Hispanic Heritage month continued Saturday with an inaugural event at the Indiana State Museum.

The museum was packed with families, enjoying Latino Festival of the Arts Saturday afternoon.

There were special cultural performances, live music, salsa dance lessons, plus games and crafts for kids.

Organizers say attendance was really impressive and they hope to continue this tradition at the museum.

"More and more people are walking through the front door. We've had lots of stroller moms in here today because they've been out on the canal. so this is an important event, not just actually for the Latino community, but for the city itself," said Bruce Williams from the State Museum.
